Myrna Pair
Sepsis Survivor and Advocate
Myrna Pair is a severe sepsis and septic shock survivor. In May 2020, emergent exploratory abdominal surgery led to removing her infected, dying colon. That was followed by construction of an ileostomy. The ostomy was reversed in 2021 and followed by open mesh surgery to repair three incisional hernias and one inguinal hernia in 2024. Myrna has continued to have bowel issues since the ostomy reversal.
