Date/Time: September 28, 2023 | 2:45 pm - 3:15 pm ET

Sepsis is the leading cause of death, re-admissions, and costs for U.S. hospitals. Not surprisingly, it is also the #1 most feared infection risk in a recent survey of over 1,000 Americans from both medical and non-medical related professions to understand theirpersonal feelings, attitudes, knowledge, and level of concern with hospitalization. This sponsored session reviews the responses from a subset of survey participants, nearly 1 in 3 of respondents, that have either been directly diagnosed with sepsis and/or have had a loved one impacted. Comparing their attitude and perspective on different healthcare topics, including the prescribing of antibiotics and antimicrobial resistances, yields some interesting insights as well as opportunities for additional education.
