Lisa-Mae Williams, PhD, RN, CCRN-K, is the Operations Director for Tele-Critical Care (Tele-ICU) & Virtual Sepsis Unit at Baptist Health's Telehealth Center. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, and a PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Williams has been with Baptist Health South Florida for 20 years, serving at various times as a staff nurse in the ICU, a Clinical Educator for critical care and progressive care, and a Nurse Manager. 

Dr. Williams has conducted several presentations at national and international conferences and has authored multiple journal research articles related to her work in Telehealth. Her doctoral research has focused primarily on Tele-ICU nursing interventions’ impact on patient outcomes.

Recently, Dr. Williams was appointed as a Clinical Associate Professor at the Hebert Wertheim College of Medicine at Florida International University. She is also Co-Director of the new Telehealth Elective for 4th Year Medical Students at Florida International University. She serves on the Center for Telehealth & eLaw (CTeL) Advisory Board and the CTeL White House stakeholder group. Dr. Williams has attended multiple meetings at the White House and Congress to advocate for removing restrictions on Telehealth Services.
