The Role of Procalcitonin in Antimicrobial Stewardship: Lessons Learned from the Pandemic
Recorded On: 12/06/2022
Webinar Description:
Procalcitonin (PCT) is a vital biomarker that became an invaluable indicator of disease severity and bacterial co-infections during the COVID-19 outbreak. Because PCT can guide healthcare professionals to the most appropriate antimicrobial therapies, it is also closely connected to responsible stewardship. In this sponsored webinar, participants will have the opportunity to review some of the most critical lessons learned over the last few years relating to PCT and infection diagnosis, as well as how the use of procalcitonin can help healthcare professionals become better antibiotic stewards while providing the best care for patients.
